Gabi is kind, inviting and quite of a storyteller. His philosophy and arts are lovely, and immediately turned into a lovely trip memory. Be sure to visit, if not only for a chat.

The artistic side of the Hebrew alphabet,

A very intriguing and innovative way to exhibit artistic side using letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
A very welcoming atmosphere and a nice experience to enjoy one side of the Jewish history (art as positive way), the negative side, however, is the reality behind the scenes that whomever is hiding under the law enforcement protection inside is in reality doing plagio (or keeping a person hostage and reduced to the point of slavery for enforcing other harming activities against human beings).
The reality of what goes on behind the scenes is sometimes unimaginable. Hopefully, this person will return my Olympia bike to me.

Gabriele Levy, the creative genius behind this very beautiful gallery will remind you why it is you travel!!! When we got to the Jewish Quarter, we made sure to visit and it was one of our favorite moments while traveling throughout all of Italy. Not only did he teach us all about his unique style, process and artwork, he radiated so much positivity that it truly inspired us. Perhaps the most profound part of our visit is that Gabriele welcomed us with open arms. He sat down and talked with us for a while...about who we were, what we love, what moves us, overall life things. Its not every day you meet someone like that, a human that is kind and truly cares about all his visitors. Thank you Gabriele. To be treated like family, so far from home is a beautiful gift you gave us! I wish I could leave a million and one positive reviews but for now I will just tell everyone to visit when in Rome. Truly unforgettable!!

When visiting the Jewish Ghetto in Rome, AlefBet should be at the top of everyone's list. Gabriele, the artist behind AlefBet, is truly remarkable and redefines the boundaries of creativity. From the moment we stepped into his workshop, we were warmly welcomed and introduced to a world where art takes on a whole new meaning.
Gabriele graciously shared his artistic process with us, taking the time to explain and showcase his impressive collection of artwork. What sets these pieces apart is the incredible depth of thought behind them. They transcend the realm of three-dimensional art as Gabriele skillfully plays with the fourth dimension, utilizing space and time in fascinating ways. Through clever wordplay and exploration of Gematria and the Hebrew language, he creates truly unique collector's pieces. Each moment spent observing these artworks reveals new layers and hidden meanings.
Visiting AlefBet is an immersive experience in itself. We were actively encouraged to interact with each piece, and our time with Gabriele extended far beyond simply considering a purchase. Engaging in meaningful conversations and discovering the stories behind the art enriched our visit even further.
Without giving away too much, I strongly urge everyone to take the time to explore the pieces fully. Turning them around reveals surprises and delights waiting to be uncovered. AlefBet is undoubtedly a hidden gem, and we couldn't be more delighted with the new addition to our home.
Thank you, Gabriele, for sharing your exceptional talent and for creating an unforgettable experience.

While walking in the Jewish Quarter toward the Great Synagogue, we stumbled on this shop, which was closed at the time. By chance, the owner, Gabriele Levy, waiting for a customer during the off hours, was present and greeted us inside. He makes hand-crafted Hebrew letters, not only in three dimensions, but also trying to convey the fourth dimension of time, as well as additional levels of meaning including Kabbalah. He is an enthusiastic artist with lovely creations. Not to be missed by anyone with an interest in the Hebrew letters and their associated meanings, or simply great art!
