This is one of the most unique places we visited while on a Pilgramage to Assisi - Marco was charm itself and his knowledge and enthusiasm were extraordinary - it was a privilege to meet him and learn how he painstakingly put together this museum - on top of this he plays beautifully and we were treated to a piano performance at the end of- this cannot be missed . You will never forget it - it actually was a very emotional experience too as Marco is such a unique person too . Just delightful.

A perfectly curated house of curiosities. Marco is a most welcoming, knowledgeable and humble guide and generously shares his wonderful collection with enthusiasm, wonder and joy. I learned so much about the history of wunderkammer itself as well as the beautiful individual pieces he has encyclopedic knowledge of.
The added bonus is the stunning piano concert. A rare opportunity to experience his musical talent up close in such a novel surrounding. It's an evening in Rome I will remember forever.

An absolute gem of a place, the Wunderkammer - cabinet of curiosities - is curated by composer, pianist and organist Marco lo Muscio. The deep passion and affection he has for every single item shines through in his tour; any and all questions are answered. The flat is crammed, but does not feel packed for the sake of it - everything has its place and reason.

I had expected 90 minutes but in the end we stayed for three hours, including the viewing of rare books (the kind one handles with gloves only) and an impromptu pianoforte concerto (which is where the information above comes in). An eclectic mixture of the known, unknown, and his own compositions made the time fly by - my favorite ws his hommage to Bram Stoker. For the price, an absolute steal. Recommended to anyone with the slightest curiosity about the unusual.

A wonderful little personal collection of items with an emphasis on nature, history, science, alchemy, fantasy and religion/culture. There's plenty of pictures to give you an idea, but personally I think it's best to look at 2-3 and leave the rest as a surprise.

The main selling point is not just the very rich collection but also the story behind each item: the host (and collector) is very knowledgeable and will give you a tour as well as answer any questions. I hear he's an excellent musician too, but I haven't had the opportunity to listen to the concert myself due to time constraints.

The only negative point is perhaps the indoors air quality, as it does get a bit stuffy and perhaps needs better ventilation/filtration, especially for groups of 2 or more people.

For anyone interested in the subject, this is a great opportunity to see real historical items, replicas and collector's curiosities in a single collection.

Wonderful night with a friend. Very interesting museum in a normal private flat and super concert for piano and organ from renaissance to nowadays music, through Bach, Ligeti and taxy driver … What a pianist! … Marco Lo Muscio is a great professional pianist and organist with a marvellous hand! His knowledge of music is embarrassing so that is pure passion for art. I recommend the visit when relaxed and ready for two hours very engaged. Not recommended if stressed or tired.
