As part of our Roma Turbopass tickets we had pre-booked upfront our timeslot for the Colosseum @4.45PM.
It also meant that we could visit the Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, 24 hrs before or after our Colosseum timeslot for free.
As this was our last full day in Rome we combined both attractions. We didn't book a tour or guide, we just followed the signing.
Also as today it was sometimes cloudy, which made it easier to walk up & around, allthough temperature was over 35°C!
The terrace sits directly above the Roman Forum, offering the definitive, classic panoramic vista of ancient Rome.
