The building elevator looks very old, but it was fully functional and reliable. On the other floors of the building there are various offices and businesses, such as law firms, which gives the place a quiet and professional atmosphere.
The staff at Otto Rooms is extremely kind, welcoming, and professional. They speak very good English and are always ready to help with anything you might need, which really makes a difference when staying in a foreign city.
The room we stayed in was spacious enough, tastefully decorated, well equipped, and very comfortable. Daily cleaning was provided, and everything was always kept neat and tidy.
Breakfast was served every day between 8:00 and 10:00. The selection was not very varied (two types of cheese, one type of ham, white toast bread), but the homemade cakes prepared by Mrs. Adriana were absolutely delicious. The homemade orange and fig jams were also outstanding and added a special, authentic touch to breakfast. Eggs were available on request (omelette, fried eggs, scrambled, or boiled). Tea was available freely, and the coffee was good.
Overall, Otto Rooms offers a very pleasant stay, combining a good central location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and a warm, homely atmosphere. A great choice for a relaxed and authentic stay in Rome.
Simona and Roberto were really great with scheduling. Our flight was delayed by a day and we had no trouble at all rescheduling our booking. We also received some great instructions on traveling to the hotel and navigating the building.
The room was spotless and they tidied up & replaced our tea and nespresso pods daily. The bathroom was well equipped and everything from the water pressure to the furniture looked great and worked perfectly.
Breakfast wasn't super varied but filling and great quality on everything. The pastries were delicate and always fresh, and the coffee made on order was very good.
The staff was very kind, attentive and warm. We met the hosts and exchanged some pleasant conversations and they were readily available on WhatsApp. Before checking out, we were able to leave our luggage in the lobby and enjoy a full day out before picking it up around evening time to travel.
We couldn't find any other hotel + breakfast this well localised and with such a good price/quality ratio, and OTTO Rooms really didn't disappoint. We would book again in a heartbeat and would recommend this place to anyone.
