The definition of a hidden gem. The menu changes daily and features just a few dishes, ensuring everything is fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, with the charm of a small family-run place. We were served by the owner himself, who is also the cook, and his passion really shows—he prepares the food the way he enjoys it: authentic and homemade.

Interestingly, his main occupation is winemaking, so we’d definitely recommend trying a glass. The food stands out from typical restaurant offerings, making the whole experience feel unique and memorable.

We just moved into the neighborhood and this is already one of our favorite places. The owner is so warm and friendly and everything he makes tastes like home cooking. The classic
Roman pastas are on offer, but as the owner is half French, there are usually some delicious twists and you never know what he might be cooking that day. Lots of fresh and seasonal ingredients feature in his dishes. He knows his wines too, and will help you pair the food with a good choice.

From the first moment you step into the restaurant, you feel a warm and empathetic mood from the owner Francesco. Although Francesco says he talks to much, we don’t agree.
Besides the warm and funny service he gives, he also cooks delicious Italian dishes packed with flavour.
We had a couple of pasta dishes and was very, very pleased. Dishes are being made from what ingredients are available that day, that makes the food feel special.
Can’t recommend this little place enough. Francesco, you rock!!

This place is amazing — it is everything, and more, than people said it would be.

The owner and chef, Francesco, is incredibly welcoming and has a genuine passion for what he does. It shines through in both the way he cooks and the way he treats his guests. Every morning he shops for fresh produce, and there is no set menu. Francesco will either make a recommendation for you or create something based on what you’re craving.

Without a doubt, this has been my favourite dining experience in Rome. We also had the pleasure of meeting his daughter, Yvonne, who was working her first shift with him last night. We felt so welcomed that we stayed for over three hours!

In fact, we’ve already booked lunch for tomorrow — our last day in Rome.

Do yourself a favour and visit Francesco. You will not be disappointed.

Some restaurants serve great food. Others leave you with a story to tell. This was definitely the latter.

We visited in August, just before the owner (Francesco) went on holiday. Along the way, we discovered that he’s a winemaker and learned about the philosophy behind his restaurant. His menu changes every day and features only a few carefully chosen dishes, allowing him to focus on fresh ingredients and homemade cooking rather than endless choice. We trusted his recommendations for our starter, main course, and wine, and couldn’t have chosen better. Before we left, he surprised us with a complimentary liqueur.

What truly sets this place apart is Francesco himself. His warmth and genuine enthusiasm make everyone feel welcome, creating an atmosphere that feels more like being invited into someone’s home than dining in a restaurant. The combination of exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, and his passion for what he does made this one of the highlights of our trip.
