We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Osteria La Giara near Villa Borghese. The ambience combines elegance with traditional charm, and the cuisine complements it perfectly. I tried the carbonara with seasonal black truffle, my first experience with truffles, which was rich, comforting, and well-balanced. My husband chose the fried shrimp and calamari; both were light, crisp, and flavorful. We also shared a homemade tiramisù that was, without doubt, the best I’ve ever tasted. It was so delightful that we plan to return soon.

Real Italian dining experience without breaking a bank. Food, service, everything was perfect. We’ve come with dishes in mind after looking at the menu online but the menu had changed slightly, and pistachio pesto pasta wasn’t available. But they made the basil pasta instead for me with exact same ingredients otherwise and it was exceptional. Tisamu is top notch and must try as well.

Our waiter helped us pick out a nice local Italian wine, and we had an excellent pasta carbonara and tagliolino veggie pasta and a radiccio and fennel salad and butter spinach for sides. All were excellent. Tiramisu for dessert was outstanding.

The service and staff are incredible. The atmosphere is great. The food OMG. This is my second time in Italy (over 30 days total) and the focaccia bread, is the best I ever had! I’m allergic to seafood, so I went with this pasta with tomato sauce and crispy bacon delight (see the photo)… one of the best pastas I’ve had in Italy. The sauce was flavourful and noddles cooked perfectly! I highly recommend this place. The portions are also large, I’m not a big eater so I brought half of it back to my AirBnB and I will dream about it tonight and devour it tomorrow! This is a must go restaurant. They also have a cute patio seating area. We went at 9:30 and the patio was full but inside was perfect.
