We were patient. But the food was not that great. The muscles were good, but the wild boar ragu was not very good. There was no taste of the meat and the red sauce was tasing very sweet and not freshly prepared. There were many people who arrived later and ordered the fried anchovies so maybe this is the best dish here. Just don’t order the wild boar ragu Won’t be back.
I arrived around 8 pm there was almost full, not many table, better reserves table or arrive early.
Recommended by our host, this place was located near Pigneto station. Through the duration and mentioned by my host, this place barely has tourist so you know you are getting well prepared food for a reasonable price.
The starter, Marinata Mista, one of the best refreshing starters I’ve had. The salmon was fresh and shrimp was cooked perfectly. Devoured it in minutes.
The frittura mista (fried anchovies, calamari and prawns). Fresh, lovely batter, and the portions were good enough to share.
Pasta, Tonnarello allo scaglio (seafood pasta) simple, cooked well, flavourful sauce, nothing to complain about.
Scaloppina di pollo al vino/limone, chicken breast that is pounded and grilled. Looks simple, but flavour was on point, juicy chicken with that white whine/lemon sauce.
And lastly dessert, the flourless chocolate cake. Hands down one of the best I’ve had, it’s still airy without being overly dense.
Overall great experience, with the friendliest chefs and front of house staff. If I ever come back to Rome I’m definitely going to this spot again.

Try the lobster pasta and or the seafood pasta.
