My wife and I were going over our 2 weeks trip to Italy and one of the best dinner in Rome was this restaurant that had more locals than the tourists so we walked in and surprised with great food and wines. Another hidden gem! Highly recommended!

Recommended by our guest house host and did not disappoint. You know the food is good when you're both eating in silence. I don't even like carbonara but took a risk on the recommendation and absolutely loved it. Great quality, beautifully presented, home made cuisine.

All around amazing! Atmosphere, wine, food and service. We were able to get a reservation the same day. For starters we ordered the Cacio de Pepe (chips) and for dinner we had the Rigatoni al Amatriciana, Caio de Pepe, Cod/ tomatoes & peppers and. Beef w/ salad for dessert the Tiramisu.. the pasta & sauce were perfectly cooked and flavorful! We would definitely be come back!!

Hubby’s corner: Incredible. They slapped together a “red sauce thing” for our toddler and we tried it and it was the best pasta we’ve ever had. A record broken again 10 minutes later by my order, and then again 2 minutes later by Claudia’s. Really good primitivo at a decent price. Cod thing was amazing (they do something incredible with tomatoes here that I don’t understand). Good service. Strongest possible recommendation.

A great upscale but relaxed restaurant with a small but amazing menu. The service was great. Their use of cod was something you don’t see that often in Roman restaurants and so fresh and delicious. The cod tartare was refreshing and light. The carbonara was one of the best I’ve had in Italy (I live here and eat if often). Guanciale was crispy and sauce was rich and pasta was perfectly al dente. The beef cheeks with red wine sauce were tender and rich and pure rustic comfort food. The couple next to me ordered Roman artichokes and they looked so good, but I was too full to even consider anymore food. Their extensive wine list was well priced and their house wine was on point. Ambiance was light but intimate. Highly recommend if you’re near the Vatican. A short walk from St. Peter’s square.
