Had a lovely early dinner here while staying at a nearby hotel. Menu highlights several options from the Piedmont region, all dishes were delicious and the service was perfect.

We came to this restaurant because it was near our hotel and the reviews were good. We got much more than we expected . The food was excellent, delicious, and very beautifully served . The service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant, quiet and peaceful. We had 3 pasta dishes, Ravioli with truffles, tagliolini with anchovies and another one with ragu. All were just excellent. Highly recommended in short…

We had an incredible dinner at this restaurant, and the staff were so kind and friendly!

The food was fresh and delicious. The vitello tonnato was especially tender and absolutely wonderful — highly recommend it!

The restaurant is located on a calm, quiet street, and sitting on the terrace felt very cozy and relaxing. A lovely experience overall.

Tucked away in the heart of Rome, Goliardi Restaurant is the kind of place you hope to stumble upon when traveling—warm, unpretentious, and deeply rooted in tradition.

From the moment you walk in, the welcoming atmosphere stands out. The space feels lived-in and genuine, with a cozy charm that immediately puts you at ease. It’s not overly polished or touristy—instead, it has that authentic **Piedmontese soul**, inspired by the culinary traditions of Piedmont, where meals are meant to be enjoyed slowly and with care.

The food is where Goliardi truly shines. Every dish feels like it comes straight from a family kitchen, prepared with respect for northern Italian recipes. The flavors are rich yet refined, reflecting the depth and simplicity associated with Piedmont cuisine. Whether it’s handmade pasta or a traditional specialty, everything feels thoughtfully crafted rather than rushed.

What elevates the experience even further is the owner, whose presence adds a personal touch you don’t often find. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate, he makes guests feel less like customers and more like friends visiting his home. That kind of hospitality leaves a lasting impression.

Goliardi isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to feel connected to Italy’s diverse culinary heritage. If you’re looking for authentic food paired with heartfelt service and a touch of Piedmontese character, this restaurant delivers in the most sincere way possible.

The rabbit sauce is actually a rabbit ground meet sauce. Which I didn't find it palatable.
The ravioli isn't close to the classic version of the Italian style that I had in mind.
The crew are extremely friendly ant courteous.

The chairs aren't comfy for a full dinner meal time so I choose the side booth.

They charge for the: bread, butter ,and the olive oil as a la carte items.

The complimentary chocolate that they give at the end has an interesting story.
Something very special about this restaurant is that serve the main course in a preheated dishes, something amazing, that keeps the main course for enough time till you actually consume it.

The Panna Cotta is out of this world but the amount Raspery sauce was more than I usually like so removed some to the side...
