Ristorante Romano Ottaviano

Extremely disappointing. The bread was rock hard and inedible. The carbonara was honestly one of the worst I’ve had — it seemed like egg had simply been cracked onto the pasta without being properly emulsified, leaving a raw, unpleasant texture.

On top of that, the service was cold and inattentive. Overall, a waste of money and not somewhere I would recommend.

The food absolutely did not match the price or the pictures, I had canned mushrooms thrown on my pizza, the dough was completely hard. I have never seen a coca cola for 6€ in such a bad restaurant. I am not even talking about the hygiene in the toilet, there was no running water and there was no toilet seat. You asked for 10€ for service (I don't know for what). If I could, I would give you 0 because this restaurant does not deserve even 1

Simply i couldn't eat the food. I chose the aranchini and pasta cacio pepe which is a safe choice and i couldn't eat more than 4-5 mouthfuls. The staff and the owner were great. Try to avoid been labeled as a tourist trap i believe you have potential. Ciao

Big disappointment!!!

The restaurant has an excellent location – as soon as you exit the metro, it is immediately visible. The girls at the entrance were friendly and approached us right away to show us the menu. Unfortunately, that was where the positive part of our visit ended.

We sat inside and ordered drinks. The waitress did not understand even a simple order when I asked for mineral water. The pizza was dry, the edges were burnt, and my daughter did not even finish it. My wife enjoyed her soup, but in my opinion, the price of €11.50 is excessive. Of course, we respect that we chose the restaurant ourselves.

The man who had been sitting outside when we arrived (I assume he was part of the management) moved inside and sat directly behind us. The fact that he started sneezing without covering his mouth was very inappropriate – covering one’s mouth when sneezing is a basic courtesy towards others. He then began playing videos on his phone at full volume and only stopped when several people turned to look at him. I believe that speaks for itself.

The toilets were another disappointment. There was no toilet paper, the water was not running, and the only thing available was soap – which is practically useless without running water. Overall, a very unpleasant impression.

The biggest surprise, however, was the bill. The receipt did not list a single item we had ordered – only one final amount. A customer should always have a clear overview of what they are paying for, so this type of billing was quite unexpected. When I asked why the individual items were missing, the waitress smiled and told me that the difference was a “service charge.” Without any explanation of what exactly this charge was for. Considering the level of service we experienced, it felt more like an unpleasant surprise than a justified fee. A service charge – honestly, for what.
