We had the bresaola to start with. The meat tasted good, but it was quite unimaginative as a dish. It was on a bed of rocket salad, and that was it, with shaved parmesan cheese, shaved mushroom, and a small slice of lemon to pour over the dish. There was no olive oil, no salt and pepper, nothing to give the dish any flavour whatsoever; it was quite dry.
We then had pasta in meatball sauce. This was also a quite bland dish; it tasted of tomato sauce and cheese, not bad but definitely not something where you are smacking your lips in delight. We selected it after reading very many glowing reviews, but I was quite disappointed.
The carbonara was good, definitely the best out of the three; it had a flavour. In total, for the three dishes we had, there was nothing out of the ordinary, to be completely honest.
Service was nice and friendly. The restaurant was next to a busy traffic, and the outdoor seating was in an alley where unfortunately there were quite a lot of vehicles moving from the adjacent busy street. I think a three star rating is a pretty fair representation of the experience.
