The authenticity is what makes it special. They just don’t give what’s pleasing for the eye; what you see is what you get, literally.
the food, the price, the service are all excellent & exceptional.
The food was incredible. The steak was perfectly cooked, the cacio e pepe was rich and full of flavor, and the wine selection paired beautifully with everything we ordered. You can tell this is a place where locals eat.
There’s not much English spoken, so having a translator app definitely helps, but honestly, that’s part of what makes it so special. The staff was incredibly patient and kind, making sure we were taken care of despite the language barrier.
If you want a true neighborhood experience and a taste of real Rome, this place is a must.
The food was fantastic - the meat cooked perfectly medium rare, the truffle sauce was rich and delicious, and even the house wine was very nice. If we’d had just a bit more room, we would’ve loved to try the desserts too!
This is definitely a place worth checking out. I’ll absolutely be back, and next time I’m bringing more friends and family to experience what might just be the best food in Rome.
