The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of both the food and service. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our visit, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. We were also pleasantly surprised by how quickly everything was served - there was no long wait for either drinks or food.
One of the things we enjoyed most was the cosy and relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant has a charming character that makes you want to stay a little longer and simply enjoy the experience.

This small, quiet restaurant sits just off the main tourist path and is well worth seeking out. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how clean and well-maintained the restaurant was, but what really made the experience special was the truly amazing staff. They were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel completely at home.
Quite simply, this was the best meal of our entire holiday.
We started with seafood — prawns and mussels — which were incredibly fresh and full of flavour. For our mains we both had pasta, and it was absolutely stunning. Everything tasted beautifully prepared and authentically Italian. We also enjoyed wine throughout the meal, which complemented the food perfectly.
The relaxed atmosphere, incredible food, and fantastic service made this a highlight of our trip to Rome.
I would highly recommend Meridionale Restaurant to anyone visiting the city. It may take a little hunting down, but trust me — it is more than worth it.

I ordered the mixed seafood pasta and my wife ordered the carbonara. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We also shared a tiramisu for dessert and it was delicious. I enjoyed a glass of Pinot Nero with my meal and it accompanied it all well.
If you’re looking for a nice meal in a peaceful setting in the middle of the city, this is a great option. I’m glad we found this little gem in the middle of Rome.
