We tried a few different options, including mozzarella, vegetarian, and Margherita pizzas. All of them were tasty, well cooked, and made with fresh ingredients. The flavours were balanced, and the dough was good, which made the meal enjoyable. We definitely enjoyed what we ordered and left satisfied.
That said, if you are specifically searching for the absolute best pizza in Rome, this may not be the place that stands out the most. It feels like a solid, reliable pizza spot rather than a must-visit destination. You can find similar quality pizzas in many other places across Rome.
Overall, it’s a good place to stop for a casual meal, and we had a pleasant experience. I would recommend visiting if you’re nearby and want a decent pizza, but not necessarily if you’re chasing something exceptional.
It has a decent size indoor seating area and the staff are very attentive, despite its proximity to the Colloseum and Forum the prices aren't at a "tourist" rate. Portions are filling and the average price of a pizza is between €12 to €16 and with the quality of the food they could definitely charge more.
It is worth mentioning they also offer a number of "slow food" pizzas covering rare local products at risk of extinction.
We tried the Calzone and Vaccinara and both were as Ive already said too much, fantastic.
The pizza dough was exceptional. They managed to create a thicker crust that was both soft and crunchy at the same time. The flavor combinations were excellent, and every bite was delicious.
It was also surprisingly inexpensive, especially considering the location so close to the Colosseum. Highly recommended if you're in the area and want great pizza without the long wait.
