Fantastic dining experience in Trastevere! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was very friendly.
The atmosphere was warm, charming, and perfectly captured the spirit of the neighborhood.

Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Trastevere and looking for an unforgettable meal. I will definitely be back!

Great staff doing a lot with little space. Service, food, and vibes were all 5/5.

Carbonara and Amatriciana were amazing. Ravioli and meatballs were fantastic. Eggplant and focaccia were good, but not my personal favorites.

Totally makes up for my first carbonara experience the night before that was a major letdown.

Worth stopping here if you can make it work.

Mimi & Coco Trast feels like the kind of place you stumble into after a long night of wandering Rome’s backstreets. The kind of place where the lights are low, the tables too small, and the food so honest it disarms you before you even sit down. It is Trastevere without the performance. It is Rome without the costume.

The focaccia arrives warm. You tear into it, and suddenly the rest of the street disappears. Then the carbonara lands. Not the overwrought interpretation you find in restaurants trying too hard to impress tourists, but the real thing. Silky. Salty. Alive. It is a reminder that some chefs still cook like they mean it.

The staff moves like they belong to the neighborhood. Friendly in the way Romans can be when they sense you respect the ritual of eating here. They do not hover. They do not recite canned lines. They simply make sure you are fed and content.

The cacio e pepe tastes like someone’s grandmother still checks the pan before it leaves the kitchen. The tiramisu is the kind you finish even when you swore you were done ten bites ago. The wine list is small yet clever. Nothing pretentious. Everything drinkable.

Mimi & Coco Trast is a place you remember because it does not try to be remembered. It is a place that understands the power of a simple meal prepared with heart and served without ceremony. Five stars because anything less would feel dishonest.

We had heard of this restaurant both from family and social media and for us was as much a 'must' as the obvious tourist 'musts'. Going there was more than imagined. The kindness and heartfelt comfort of the staff, very cozy romantic atmosphere, incredible food and insanely reasonable cost actually has us trying to figure a way to change itinerary to come back before we head home! As most will share, the ravioli, lasagna and tiramisu were outstanding. That said, food aside, simply the comfort and kindness of the staff made us feel like we were always with family. Hope others get to experience this in their lives. Thank you... as amazing the entire staff was, we must say Yasmine was as angelic, beautiful, and kind as you could wish any server to be. We thank you with our deepest appreciation for fate bringing you to our table this night in such a Holy land where we were acknowledging my wifes soon to be 60th birthday and our 35th anniversary. You and your team will forever be embedded in our memories of Rome. Thank you.

This place is quite simply a gem. From the moment we entered, the attentive hustle gave the restaurant a professional caring energy. The classic Italian love of food and company is in the fabric of this wonderful eatery.
Drinks were a Chianti and an obligatory glass of cooling Perroni, and for food we had the Carbonara, Tonnarelli Cheese and Pepper, and the Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce Basil and Grana Padano Dop (a gluten-free option). The pasta was to die for. Fresh, authentic, with a little bite, and the sauces were the taste of genuine Italian home-cooked delight.
We didn't try them, but cocktails were being mixed constantly behind the bar, adding to the 'up' vibe.
I highly recommend a stop here, we didn't book and got lucky as it filled up pretty fast as we ate. My pick was the Carbonara, perfect in every way. And be sure to get a basket of ciabatta for dipping and mopping up. It comes warm and light and oh so tasty.
