I have tried their pastas and pizzas and both were delightful. I found it surprisingly difficult to find good pasta in Rome until I stumbled upon this spot.
For pasta, I ordered the Cacio e Pepe and Amatriciana. Both tasted high quality and the sauces were perfect.
For the Montanare (fried pizzas), I got the stracciatella with confit tomatoes, and the pesto with mint and basil. The dough was so soft and tasty! I was hesitant to order them because they didn’t look appealing but I’m so glad I did and would reorder again.
The staff were welcoming and ordering was easy as a tourist since they had an English menu.
Hands down the best meal I had in Italy!
The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the service attitude was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was delicious and full of flavor.
You can really feel the care and passion they put into their food and hospitality. If you're looking for a great dining experience with amazing people, this is the place. Highly recommended!
Our coffee came a little cold, but the waiter’s attention and friendliness were excellent. He even offered us food while we were waiting in line, which was a very thoughtful gesture. I’d definitely recommend stopping by — honestly, the hospitality alone is worth the visit.
The carbonara was outstanding, and the meatball sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. But the real star of the meal was the fried pizza. The dough was unbelievably light and airy. Almost like a freshly made brioche or doughnut, but savory and topped like a pizza. It practically melts in your mouth. It’s unlike anything I’ve had before, and it’s an absolute must-order.
The owner was warm and welcoming too. As a surprise, he brought us a fried sweet bread for dessert, which was so good that my family ended up fighting over the last bite.
I only wish I had discovered this place earlier in my trip. It would have become a regular stop. We’ll catch you next time though!
