Yes, it is popular and busy, but the food truly delivers. And the views from terrace outside are great over the Pantheon!
The handmade pasta is the star here, and I highly recommend trying the Sciavatelli if available — they became my favorite pasta shape of the trip. Rustic, thick, beautifully textured and perfect with Roman sauces.
My favorite dishes are :
* the Carbonara (rich, creamy and deeply flavorful),
* the Gricia,
* the Burrata,
* the Carciofi alla Giudia,
* the stuffed zucchini flower,
* and the Coda alla Vaccinara, which felt very authentic and comforting.
The Amatriciana was good as well, though for our taste slightly heavy on tomato and pecorino. Still very traditional and generous.
And do not skip dessert: the Tiramisù was excellent.
The atmosphere is lively and very Roman, with people watching fresh pasta being made in the window. Service moves fast because the place is always full, but the experience feels authentic rather than overly polished.
A must-visit in Rome if you love traditional Roman cuisine and handmade pasta.

Everything I had heard and seen online, through social media and reviews, didn’t even come close to how incredible this restaurant actually is. The experience was beyond expectations, and we will definitely be back!
The service was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very busy and popular with tourists. If there is a wait, I would not recommend waiting. The pasta is good, but it’s not better than anywhere else. I would say it meets the average among other restaurants and the prices are slightly higher.
I personally would not return as I did not find it special compared to others and there are many options in the area.
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the meal. However, my experience near the pasta-making station by the window was less pleasant. One of the pasta makers seemed quite unfriendly when I briefly filmed the pasta-making process, even though I was only recording the pasta and her hands, not her face.
Overall, the food lived up to the hype, and I’d still happily come back to try more dishes.
What caught our attention and made us decide to sit down were the two ladies making fresh pasta right at the entrance. Watching them prepare the pasta by hand was wonderful, and it immediately made us curious to try it.
The fresh pasta truly made a difference – the texture was fantastic and absolutely delicious. The bruschetta with burrata was also better than expected. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor.
We finished the meal with tiramisu, which was the perfect ending.
Although the prices are not cheap, considering the location, the quality of the fresh pasta, and the friendly service, we felt the experience was definitely worth it. A great place to enjoy a meal near the Pantheon.
