After being seated, I waited for a long time just to place my order and after placing my order, I waited for a long time and the food never arrived. What made the situation worse was that there was no proper communication from the staff. No one came to check on the table, no one explained the delay, and at one point it felt like there was simply no waiter responsible for our area at all.
I understand that restaurants can be busy, and I do not expect everything to be instant. However, being left waiting with no update, no service, and no basic attention is unacceptable. A customer should not have to keep looking around for staff just to find out whether their order even exists.
The most upsetting part is that, as an Asia customer, I felt I was being treated differently and ignored in a way that felt discriminatory. I cannot know the staff’s intentions, but the experience made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. When service is this absent and dismissive, it is hard not to question whether race played a role in how I was treated.
Eventually, I decided to leave because the situation became too frustrating and uncomfortable. I came to the restaurant expecting a normal meal, but instead I left feeling disrespected, hungry, and deeply disappointed.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who expects basic service, timely communication, or respectful treatment. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in Italy.
Prices are quite acceptible for such fine dining restaurant, I would even expect higher when I entered. And at the end when we were leaving, I found a Michelin key sign outside and though it is not for the restaurant - it still means it's a nice, upscale restaurant inside a Michelin-recognized hotel
