Lovely family restaurant in Trastevere with a decent offer of local food (mainly pasta and meat). We also had fresh summer white vino della casa, recommended!

The staff spoke Italian but the menu is in IT/EN, so you can easily manage to order.

The food was good, but for a highly rated restaurant, taste alone is not enough of an achievement. From the very moment we sat down, the waitress made it very clear that she was uncomfortable with my spouse and me and that she did not want us there. Not everyone has to be cheerful every second — that would have been understandable — but she was so warm, attentive, and friendly with the guests at the next table that we realized her attitude was directed specifically at us. If you are a business, treating your guests worse than if you were trying to drive them out simply because they are tourists is not only unprofessional, but also ethically and morally wrong. If you’re a tourist, definitely don’t go to this restaurant — you’ll leave unhappy.

Our best dining experience in Rome so far. Not “touristy”, but very accommodating, and I think it is a family business. The lady serving us was very kind and patient with my poor Italian, using a translation app when we got stuck, so don’t worry about language.

The food was perfect, prepared and cooked fresh by the talented chef who obviously takes delight in his work and came to check personally that we enjoyed our food. Everything was cooked with skill, presented well, flavours balanced. It was so good I nearly cried, twice!

The price was exceptionally good value - two pasta dishes, one grilled meat dish (enough to share), half a litre of house wine, bottled water, bread and coffee for 55 Euros - no surprises in the bill, and every item was good value. Sometimes, as a visitor you feel vulnerable, but here you are in safe hands: you can order what you want and not worry about the bill, as it should be; no surprises.

I would move to Italy to eat like this regularly! Spectacular! If you are considering it, go - you won’t regret it.

Terzo Tempo was a phenomenal dining experience in a charming setting. With good prices, traditional Italian fare, and daily specials that will blow your mind, Terzo Tempo was absolutely exquisite. The gnocchi (pictured) was tender, fresh, and flavorful; by far the best I’ve ever had! If you are looking for cucina romana, this is the place to go!
