La Vittoria, founded in 1919 to honour Italy's victory in the First World War, stands as a charming Italian eatery steeped in over a century of Roman culinary tradition. Nestled conveniently near St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican, this inviting restaurant captures the true essence of Roman dining. Guests can enjoy a warm, relaxed, and cosy atmosphere within a dining room featuring traditional brick-vault ceilings or opt for appealing streetside tables, providing a delightful setting that makes it a popular choice for both locals and visitors alike.

The cuisine at La Vittoria focuses on authentic Roman and Italian flavours, upholding a philosophy rooted in respecting traditional, generations-old recipes, crafted with fresh ingredients and simple preparations. Diners can savour iconic pasta dishes such as Amatriciana, Carbonara, and Cacio e Pepe, alongside classic thin Roman-style pizzas with a deliciously crispy dough. What a gem this place is!! One of the best sandwiches we had in Rome! Two whole burratas in the sandwich! Very friendly service too! Limited seating but you can always take out.

This is an in and out pizza spot. Inconspicuous, no fuss but absolutely delicious. Best crust (non-traditional style) that was buttery, light and airy. Owner was a gem born times we visited and you couldn’t beat the price of 15€ for a family of 4 to get a decent size slice. A must stop for a quick bite!
