What a lovely place. Not only super friendly people also extra ordinary food. The noodles and the fish tasted super fresh. You can also have a look into the kitchen from the outside to see how your food is cooked. I can highly recommend!

I wanted to try spaghetti all’assassina and Google (maps) lead me here, literally. I read the other reviews and concur. It was so comfortable eating in a neighborhood bistro instead of being reeled into a tourist trap. Since I was the first to arrive chef/owner and I chatted for 10-15 minutes before even ordering.

Small but perfectly formed bistro where Chef Golino shows how inventive Roman food is done, well.

My eggplant parmesan was crisp on the edges, smooth and creamy in the middle with a tart bite from the rich tomato sauce, topped with fresh and very melty mozzarella. A lava flow of deliciousness.

For my Primi I tried their most popular dish and it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked tagliolini pasta with sweet chunks of fresh prawn confit. The sauce brought the two together with buttery earthy magic.

There was much more on the menu that I want to try, this was a very good meal.

Recommended, well worth a trip up to Monteverde to sample this excellent restaurant.

Make a reservation though!

This was the most wonderful dinner experience we had while in Rome. The food was excellent, and while still offering some traditional items, it was a very welcomed change of pace from all of the same dishes you tend to see at restaurants. The chef came out and paired our wine based on what we wanted to have for dinner, checked on us after every course, and was so kind. I'd highly recommend Golinos while you are in Roma! Also a huge bonus that it was not a crowded tourist area. Even though we were tourists, it was nice to have a break! 10/10

This places five-star rating and glowing reviews caught my eye, so we made the trip to check it out. This place absolutely lived up to its reputation. The venue is nice though small so maybe try making a reservation if you can.

The food was absolutely amazing. We tried all the pastas and deserts, unfortunately we didn’t get to try the focaccia because it was sold out but I appreciate the quality over quantity sentiment.

Do yourself a favour and give this place a visit. You will not be disappointed!
