Best sandwich I have had! Feels very “local”. I asked Sandro to choose for me and it was spectacular. He gave me and my 3yo son tastes of everything he was putting on. You could see how passionate he was about his craft. Don’t go anywhere else for a sandwich if you’re in the area. 10/10

Second time here since moving to Umbria 3 1/2 years ago. It has such a special local neighborhood vibe! The owner Sandro welcomes everyone from behind the counter where he prepares the food. Sandwiches made with the freshest ingredients, lasagna, frittata, salads , etc. I enjoyed just sitting, relaxing and eating for well over an hour as locals came in and out. I thoroughly ended piatto misto salumi e formaggi e ottimo. Lasagne perfetto. Both enjoyed with two glasses of their red wine from their countryside vineyard. I look forward to my next visit.

Go here for lunch and don’t think twice. We stumbled across it and it was the best lunch of the trip. Under 17 Euros got us two incredible sandwiches, half a liter of wine with lunch and a huge take-out bottle of homemade red wine from the owner’s family vineyard - filled from a tap.

We speak almost no Italian but the owner was so welcoming and I was able to tell him that we wanted sandwiches of whatever he liked. So he gave us two different ones that were both amazing. One with prosciutto, mozzarella and tomato and one with salami and cheese and some sort of cooked zucchini. All was sliced fresh to order and was unreal. The bread was perfect.

The vibe was a 10/10. Few if any tourists, lots of locals having their lunch break. May go back tomorrow before we leave for home.

Everything on offer looked really inviting so I asked the friendly staff to prepare a mix of local meat and cheese for my partner and I. We also tried their red wine (produced at the family vineyard!), fresh bread, and a cheesy lasagna with mushrooms and artichokes. The food was DELICIOUS and such a general portion that we had to ask them to wrap up the leftovers for us.

When the bill arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. It was SUCH a bargain for the quality of the food! If you're in Rome and want to try some really tasty, regional ingredients, make a beeline for Fraschetta da Sandro.
