Cheebo - Smashburger, Pollo fritto & Pulled Pork offers a distinctive culinary experience in Rome's eastern periphery, specifically within the La Rustica district. This establishment, which opened in April 2025, exudes a welcoming ambience, blending retro and modern elements with a striking blue colour scheme. It stands out as a project born from the passion of three local friends, aiming to provide a comforting and high-quality dining spot that resonates with the community, embodying their motto, "Bite the East Side".
The cuisine centres around artisanal smashburgers, buttermilk-marinated fried chicken, and slowly cooked pulled pork, all crafted with care and fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Customers can enjoy the Classic smashburger, featuring American cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, and a secret Cheebo sauce, or opt for the rich, hand-shredded pulled pork, slow-cooked for 22 hours and served with coleslaw and BBQ sauce. Vegan options are also available, including a fried smoked tofu burger and a plant-based patty smash burger, complemented by carefully selected fries.
This vibrant eatery is well-suited for a broad range of diners, from children and teenagers to families and groups of friends, thanks to its accessible pricing. It provides an excellent choice for a casual, quality lunch or an evening out, particularly for those seeking a departure from Rome's traditional fare. Its commitment to the local area and inviting atmosphere make it an ideal setting for relaxed gatherings or a swift, satisfying meal.

The only downside of the evening was the cookie, which was obviously collapsed and raw in the center... Let's just say that for €3, delivering a visibly unsavory product is a bit disappointing.
For the rest, I recommend it.
