Villa delle Vignacce is an ancient Roman suburban villa complex of considerable scale, nestled within the verdant expanse of the Parco degli Acquedotti in Rome's southeastern outskirts. Attributed to Quintus Servilius Pudens, a wealthy brick manufacturer and friend of Emperor Hadrian, this elite 2nd-century AD residence, encompassing over 20,000 square metres, offers a compelling glimpse into imperial-era luxury and Roman urban expansion beyond the city walls. Its character is one of preserved historical grandeur, providing a quiet, contemplative atmosphere amidst the natural beauty of the park.
Visitors can explore the extensive remains of this opulent estate, which notably includes a grand bath complex complete with an underground hypocaust heating system, communal marble latrines, and decorative mosaic floors.
