Unfortunately, you can't (and shouldn't) take photos, but of all the catacomb complexes I've visited, this one is visually the most beautiful, if only for two rooms that are marvelously frescoed, both on the vault and in the arcosolia, depicting mythological tales and a depiction of those who were likely buried here. It's surprising that the site's discoverer (Bosio) wanted to plaster his name everywhere (an insult to art for someone who would like to perpetuate its value). The site belongs to the Catacombs of Domitilla complex but has a separate entrance and is not normally open to the public. It was an unforgettable experience that I regret not being able to document (the shots are taken from the internet). Take a look at the photos I'm posting here and decide accordingly whether to visit these catacombs or not. I assure you, the effect, once you're there, is indescribable. Did I give you a good tip?
