Since 2010, the thirtieth anniversary of the murder of Judge Mario Amato, a memorial stone dedicated to him has been located at Viale Jonio 272. Crafted from Maiella stone by sculptor Antonio Di Campli, it stands on the exact spot where the magistrate was assassinated by the NAR (National Anti-Red Army) on June 23, 1980. Each year, the municipal and city administration commemorates him with a solemn ceremony, along with members of the Committee and his family.
