And another bastion falls...from October 20, 2025, the FAO has opened its doors to all visitors, thanks to the inauguration of the new Museum and Network for Food and Agriculture, or FAO MuNe. This cutting-edge space, a multimedia and multisensory museum, is a living and engaging environment where food becomes a story, a discovery, and a vision of the future. You can take a true journey around the world and through time, discovering agricultural traditions, surprising innovations, and food cultures that speak of identity, community, and change. The immersive and interactive experience is sure to appeal to younger visitors: across multiple spaces, it invites visitors to discover the stories of "food heroes," women and men who, through food and agriculture, build connections between people, protect the planet, and imagine a fairer tomorrow. The museum clearly and passionately illustrates the commitment to food security, sustainable agriculture, and a healthy diet accessible to all. FAO offers various visit options: group tours, in-person visits to the FAO headquarters in Rome, and even online visits, allowing you to explore the museum from anywhere. A unique opportunity to understand how important food is, yesterday, today, and especially tomorrow. Access is through the visitor entrance, opposite the Stadio delle Terme, after passing through security checks (avoid bringing bags or luggage) and crossing the portico that will allow you to enjoy the stunning garden, recently renovated and transformed into a true botanical garden, boasting impressive biodiversity. This wonderful experience can be enhanced with the audio guide app, which can also be downloaded on site. (If you don't speak English, the introductory section, led by the staff, which opens the tour in front of the Constitution Wall, may be difficult.) Highly recommended. Need some useful info? Then leave a like and check out other reviews of Rome and beyond.
