A simple concept executed perfectly: fresh pasta made with an appropriate sauce and a good selection of sides.

My pappardelle was well prepared, chewy and coated with a rich pork and tomato sauce. A side of shredded and dressed white cabbage was a crunchy accompaniment.

Also some fresh from the oven crusty bread was perfect for collecting the last of the sauce.

Very reasonable prices, lovely staff who have the patience of the saints in dealing with confused tourists from all over the world.

Recommended.

Don't trust google reviews in Roma - except for this one

This is not a restaurant, this is a craft shop specializing in handmade pasta, and they are incredible at it. In terms of value for money, this is the best pasta I've had in Italy, and some of the best on value alone, competitive with and often clearly superior to much more expensive/fancy sit down trattoria and tavernaccia. Out of about a dozen times eating Roman pasta over two trips, there is only one restaurant as good or better than this one (they also make their pasta in house), and that one is about 60% more expensive. The tonnarelli is absolutely exquisite. The interior is relaxed and casual, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the food is superb while being incredibly affordable for fairly large portions. You could serve this in new York with white tablecloths and pretentious wines and charge 4x the price and no one would bat an eye. This is my go to for a budget friendly, no frills authentic pasta experience. In my opinion this is a must try for anyone in Rome that wants top quality fresh pasta.

Best pasta we’ve had in Italy, and the carbonara was particularly fantastic!! It’s quite small and cozy, but we luckily didn’t even have to wait for a table. Regardless of the size, the atmosphere was lovely and it was easy to talk. The service was great, the food was ready quickly, and an english menu was available! The prices were very reasonable for the food. Would 100% recommend while you’re in Rome.

We are tourists :) We were welcomed with a smile and clear explanation of how their menu, and dining etiquette works (order, sit down, pay later). We asked for 2 share plates expecting to divide it ourselves, and they were happy to just serve our pasta on two plates for us! The servings were very generous. The pasta was cooked perfectly, sauces were fantastic! A large group of tourists came in after us, and we got to see pretty much every item on the menu get served, it looked so good, we ordered a second round of pasta. Very glad we found this place.

Excellent homemade pasta, perfect texture. The flavours are well-balanced. They had an English menu available. Limited seating, but we didn't need to wait longer than 5-10 minutes. Definitely worth a try!
