BOSCO – Officine del Tartufo, nestled in Rome's vibrant Pigneto district, offers a distinctive and inviting atmosphere, drawing inspiration from a gourmet forest. The venue, evolving from a "street kitchen" concept, features an informal and welcoming decor with intertwining branches adorning the ceiling, lush vegetation, and natural wooden tables, crafting a truly unique and accommodating dining space. This establishment stands out as a genuine haven for truffle aficionados, aiming to demystify this prized ingredient and present it in an accessible "prêt-à-manger" style.
The cuisine, rooted in Italian and Mediterranean traditions, centres almost entirely around the exquisite truffle, showcased in its various seasonal forms and types. Diners can savour notable dishes such as homemade gnocchetti with white wild boar ragù and truffle, or luxurious fettuccine with black truffle. Other culinary highlights include the "Coccodè" crostone, featuring potato cream, egg, and truffle, alongside the "Tratturo" burger, prepared with beef tartare, truffle, and either stracciatella or ricotta cream. Complementing the refined dishes is a carefully selected wine list, offering both Italian and international labels, including natural wines, with many ingredients sourced from the Abruzzo region.
This charming eatery particularly suits those with a discerning palate who appreciate the robust and authentic flavours of high-quality ingredients, with a special emphasis on truffles. Its informal yet sophisticated approach makes it an excellent choice for a relaxed meal or a special occasion where the focus is on exceptional food without undue pretension. The menu thoughtfully caters to a range of preferences, providing appealing options for both omnivores and vegan guests.

For the main course, we went with the Tagliolini with Parmesan and fresh truffle. Absolutely outstanding — cooked to perfection and full of flavor. We paired it with a bottle of Pecorino Orange Garbage — a fantastic wine, fruity with a light mineral touch, and very reasonably priced.
Special mention to the service: super friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive. We felt comfortable and well looked after the entire evening.
Bottom line: excellent food, great wine, fair prices, and service exactly how it should be. We’ll definitely be back!
I highly recommend anyone around to come !
