And the food? unreal. Fresh, full of flavor, and easily some of the best we’ve had in Rome. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after the Vatican—just a few steps away, no stress, and you instantly feel taken care of.
If you come here (and you should), ask for Sid. We left smiling, happy, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend.
The team were engaging, the atmosphere modern and comfortable, and the food genuinely impressive without being pretentious. A beautiful meal and definitely worth trying.
We were gifted a champagne sipper and appreciated that the menu is simple, helping to make decisions without overwhelm.
First we chose calamari. It came without sauce (didn’t need it!), light, perfectly crisp, & warm. Then had the caccio y pepe and mushroom ravioli which were both better than any pasta we’ve ever had. (The staff carefully packed up leftovers from each course so we could keep enjoying, & were patient as we don’t speak Italian).
For mains we had pulpo w pumpkin (I can’t recommend enough!!!) and the tagliata with aged lardon topping, honey, & walnuts. Unexpected details making these pieces just perfect
The desert was a small cheesecake, that had little tiny shards of ice in it that made it refreshing & light. Everything was made in-house that day, from the pasta to the sauces, the lardon had been aged for 3 years, however… and you get to see it displayed in the restaurant.
Just cannot say enough good about this place for an Italian food newbie or someone waiting to see the classics perfected. Thank you, team!
This is a place that creates warm, pleasant memories, and we’re glad we chose it.
