Tonnarello San Pietro

One of the best meals we had in Rome.
We ordered the oxtail, grilled lamb chops, meatballs pasta, and focaccia — every dish was excellent. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked, crispy outside and tender inside, with no gamey taste at all. Even the potatoes were done just right.

Maruf’s service was outstanding — professional, thoughtful, and very kind. He made sure to ask about food allergies and took great care of us.

Great house wine, Spritz, and desserts as well.
A must-visit restaurant in Rome. Highly recommended!

The food is great here, especially the tiramisu, it’s special. people who like the taste of heavy espresso can try. Staffs here are nice (i like the vibe of one of the staffs, Caterina, she will keep track on how do i feel throughout the whole lunch) and this is one of my best experience in the trip to Rome.
The location is also close to St. Peter's Basilica, so it’s convenient to have a lunch after having a walk in the church.

If you’re anywhere near Tonnarello San Pietro, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place perfectly captures the warmth and flavor of Rome.

The supplì were absolutely outstanding — crispy and golden on the outside, perfectly seasoned rice inside, and that classic stretchy mozzarella center that makes every bite unforgettable. Easily some of the best I’ve had in the city.

The pasta was just as impressive — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can taste the quality of the ingredients in every forkful.

A special thank you to our wonderful waitress, Noemi. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we sat down.
