We visited this restaurant during the donburi evening and had a truly fantastic experience. The food was excellent, with thoughtful options even for vegetarians. Each dish was paired with delicious sake, which made the experience even more special.
A highly recommended experience, one that will make me want to return to Japan for a few hours. Thank you so much!

Sake Boutique is a true slice of Japan in Piazza Albania. It's not just a place to try Japanese food, but a complete experience combining culture, select sake, and meticulously prepared cuisine. Simone is an added bonus: passionate, knowledgeable, and able to guide you through your sake selection, explaining it thoroughly, without unnecessary posturing. An intimate venue, an authentic atmosphere, and high-quality food and drink. If you want to understand sake, not just drink it, this is the place.

Truly superb. We've just spent 2 months in Japan, and this place was as good as any izakaya we ate at there. We had the Agedashi Nasu, which is eggplant with agedashi, and was excellent. The spicy miso carbonara is obviously a fusion dish of Japanese, Korean, and Italian and also excellent. The omurice was another standout. The cocktails were creative and delicious. The Midori is effectively a Last Word-spritz. We also had a Negroni variant with kombu, a wonderful mix of sweet and savory. Service and environment were also great and the price was surprisingly affordable. Go here! They deserve a lot more traffic.

I haven’t even left the restaurant and I am gonna write my review. Its 11pm at night, on a Friday and the place is empty, I do not understand why? The food was amazing, especially being in Rome!!! Father and Son dish was out of those world! My wife’s Udons were on par with many US restaurants. The chicken wings were nice and crispy with so much flavor!! If you are in Rome and craving something different than pizza or pasta, this is your spot!!!
