The food seemed to have been cooked by someone unfamiliar with the kitchen. The pasta was overcooked and flavorless, the sauce devoid of any character, like a recipe improvised by a friend who never cooks. The main course, a meat dish, was dry and flat, devoid of aroma or flavor. Even the side dishes, which are usually difficult to ruin, were sad and tasteless.
It's not a matter of personal preference, but of poorly executed dishes. Each course gave the impression of being prepared without care and passion. We left much of the food on our plates, something I almost never do.
For the prices they charge, I expected at least decent food. Instead, it was an unpleasant and completely forgettable dinner. If you're looking for a real trattoria, with properly cooked dishes, this is not the place for you.
