Dolce Pierozek offers a distinctive culinary escape, standing out as Rome's pioneering pierogarnia, or Polish dumpling restaurant. Founded by Alina and Edyta, the venue was conceived to introduce the authentic flavours of handmade pierogi and other Polish specialities to the Eternal City. This charming eatery cultivates a warm, family-like atmosphere, inviting guests to feel truly at home in what is affectionately described as a unique "angle of Poland in the heart of Rome". Each dish served beautifully narrates a tale of tradition, dedication, and a profound love for good food.
The cuisine centres around traditional Polish recipes, with the star attraction being the expertly crafted, handmade pierogi. Diners can enjoy a diverse range of savoury fillings, including classic meat, 'Ruskie' with potatoes and Polish ricotta, and a rich sauerkraut and porcini mushroom option. Beyond these delightful dumplings, the menu features other beloved Polish dishes such as Bigos, a hearty stew, and Golombki, traditional stuffed cabbage. Ingredients are carefully selected for their freshness and quality, often sourced directly from Poland to ensure an authentic taste experience.
This unique establishment is ideally suited for anyone keen to explore authentic Polish cuisine while in Rome. It provides a comforting experience for those who may be reminiscing about a trip to Poland, as well as an exciting culinary introduction for first-time tasters of Polish fare. The welcoming, family-like ambience makes it perfect for casual meals, friendly gatherings, or simply when seeking a heartwarming and distinctive dining occasion that departs from typical Roman offerings.

Dine-in space is small, so I recommend ordering a take out.
We also tried the galupki - it was exactly as my mom used to make it, a taste I haven’t had in many years. We interacted with lovely Alina - both she and I were crying over a shared love of her wonderful food. She was moved to hear that it was just like my mom’s. She gave us some free zeppelini, which were delicious as well. She couldn’t do enough for us. (When it was time to pay, she at first undercharged us - we wouldn’t hear of it!)
We had lovely appetizers of a potato salad and very tasty pickles. We took some of everything home with us, including a great dessert that we found in the soft drink fridge - all homemade.
Words just can’t express how wonderful the food was. If you were brought up with pierogi and some of the other delights on the menu, you will find your appetite filled - overfilled - here. All made with love, it was an experience of the ❤️!! Thank you so much, Alina! You made our day - our trip to Roma was so much better for having met you…and your food!
I will definitely come back :) !
p.s. I took pierogi with cabbage and with ricotta+malina, but on a picture you can see only first, 'cause they were too good and disappeared immediately in my stomach
