Moburger brings authentic Chinese street food to Rome, aiming to replicate the genuine culinary experiences found on the bustling streets of Xi'an and Beijing. Located in the heart of Via Ostiense, this modern and welcoming venue distinguishes itself by offering traditional recipes, authentic cooking techniques, and carefully selected ingredients, rather than a Westernised version of Chinese fare.
The cuisine centres around traditional Chinese street food, with the celebrated Roujiamo, often referred to as the "Chinese burger" from Xi'an, being a standout speciality. This distinctive dish features oven-baked bread, not fried, filled with slow-cooked meats such as stewed beef or pork, or spicy chicken, alongside vegetarian alternatives. Patrons can also enjoy various noodles, including udon and tagliatelle, with options like beef, prawns, or duck, as well as grilled ravioli and soft, steamed baozi with pork and water chestnuts.
This establishment is ideally suited for those eager to explore genuine Chinese flavours and culinary traditions. It serves as an excellent choice for a quick and satisfying lunch break, a casual dinner with friends, or a convenient take-away option, appealing to diners who prioritise quality, speed, and authentic taste.

I rate it a 4.5 out of 5 only because we are in Rome.
The noodles with chicken and veggies were very bad (I rate them 1.5 out of 5).
It was a bowl of dry noodles (I suspect they were boiled in the morning and reheated in a microwave).
A few slivers of carrot and two (yes literally two) tiny slivers of courgette were also tossed in as well as very little fried egg that was also cooked hours earlier.
It was very bland (surprisingly so) and the noodles tasted like low quality spaghettini.
Perhaps I should have been more specific and ordered "udon noodles" but I just said "noodles with chicken and vegetables" and was hoping for a dish identical to the tempting looking photos on some of the reviews (what I got looked nothing like them).
The owner is very friendly and he asked me if I liked the food.
I said the jiamo was very good but the noodles were not.
He gave me a fortune cookie and a "mango sweet".
The latter is actually a plastic container one fifth filled with very sweet juice into which a tiny piece of mango from a can is tossed.
It is a gesture but it is not useful to me and one must remember that for the 15.50 Euros I paid for these two dishes (no drink) I could eat a two course lunch in one of dozens of restaurants in the area.
Staff was super nice and the food came out quickly. Giving only 3 stars to atmosphere because, even if modern and quite nice, this is not an actual restaurant and it's meant for a quick bite.
Overall very happy with this discovery and I'll definitely try their other dishes if I'm in the area again!
The service was great! The gentleman who served us was very kind, and we even got a fortune cookie at the end, which was a nice surprise. It’s also a really good option for take-out.
The chicken burger was my favorite. The sauce made it much juicier. The beef was also delicious, but it could’ve used a bit more juiciness. Overall, a very tasty experience and definitely worth a try!
