Iolanda vino e Cucina offers a truly intimate and welcoming dining experience in Rome's Marconi neighbourhood, reflecting a warm, familial atmosphere. The thoughtfully renovated space combines traditional materials like wood with pastel colours, creating a homely yet refined setting that goes beyond a typical Roman osteria. This restaurant stands out as a heartfelt homage to Chef Luca Salatino's grandmother, Iolanda, aiming to evoke the cherished feeling of Sunday family lunches.
The cuisine champions authentic Italian and Roman traditions, expertly reinterpreted with a modern flair by Chef Luca Salatino, focusing on "sincere" cooking and a zero-kilometre philosophy. Diners can savour meticulously crafted dishes such as the much-praised Carbonara, often considered a signature item, and the delectable stuffed artichoke with lemon. Handmade pastas like Pappardelle al ragù bianco and the unique Fregola with octopus ragù, lemon, and basil are also notable. Accompanying the exquisite food is a carefully curated list of natural and organic wines, chosen to enhance each dish and celebrate local produce.
Iolanda vino e Cucina particularly suits those seeking genuine Italian flavours and a memorable meal in an authentic setting. It works beautifully for various occasions, from convivial gatherings with friends and family to more romantic evenings, or simply for food enthusiasts desiring a culinary journey crafted with passion and precision. The warm, attentive service ensures every guest feels at home, making it an ideal choice for anyone appreciating bold, fresh tastes and a truly personal touch.

The menu offers a variety of typical Roman dishes, all exquisite. The quality of the ingredients truly makes the difference, evident in every course. A great added value is the open kitchen, extremely clean and organized, which conveys great professionalism and attention to detail.
Chef Luca walks among the tables to ensure guests have enjoyed their dishes, passionately explaining the choice of ingredients and the philosophy behind each dish: a gesture that makes the customer feel truly pampered.
Special praise also goes to the waitress, who was exceptional in her welcome and service. She expertly recommended dishes and alcoholic beverages, explaining the ingredients and their origins in detail.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an authentic experience, enjoy excellent Roman cuisine, and feel welcomed at home. I will definitely be back!
