Mako was absolutely incredible! As a tourist, it was such a treat to find a place that feels so local and authentic. The staff was warm, welcoming, and truly passionate about what they do. The seafood was easily the freshest I’ve ever had — the raw oysters were unforgettable, and the tiramisu… mamma mia, unbelievably good. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, it felt like a real hidden gem — no touristy crowds, just amazing energy and phenomenal food. We ate there twice and I would love to go back!

This place is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The staff is so friendly, always helpful and so humble. I don’t speak Italian and every time I travel to Rome it’s hard to find a place with an English menu, however.. you will find an English menu here and the staff is always there to explain it to you, not talking about the delicious food, always fresh and served on time. As a frequent traveler, I get to see so many places around the world and to try so many restaurants and I can tell that this my favorite so far.

I came to Mako restaurant during my vacation in Rome with a local friend ,I didn’t expect to find this beautiful and tasty place on the outskirts of the city centre . I need to thank the staff that supported me and explained the menu in English, the seafood dishes were delicious …
Can’t wait to come back !

I found this place after a long walk and, drawn in by the design, I decided to stop for lunch. I really appreciate the fact that they have the menu translated into English, especially in an area outside the city center. The food was excellent. I totally recommend this place!
