(A promise is a promise, chef: I said I would 😜)
The dishes do not disappoint...in fact, they have amazing flavors and intense flavors (the focaccia with mortadella was Oscar-winning!!). The first courses are consistently top-notch; we tried the tortellini and the carbonara...delicious!
But the real highlight, in my opinion, was the dessert, often a sore point even in renowned restaurants. Here, however, the chef created a black cherry brittle reminiscent of the famous gelato (very structured and well-made), and a tiramisu as light as a Nuvola yet rich in flavor.
I can only compliment the entire staff, book for another enjoyable evening, and recommend everyone to try Nonna Papera's cuisine!
The platter was excellent; the warm focaccia with mortadella was fantastic, as were the supplì. Even the thin, well-topped pizza, very crispy, reminded me of the pizzas I had when I was a child. It's a shame the saltimbocca seemed too small, but the portions should definitely be that way.
Good prices. We'll definitely try other dishes when we return to Rome.
