Trastevere Residence

I have stayed at this lovely apartment 3 times now. So clean, great location, great shower, washing machine. A 10 min walk to Porte Portese Sunday Market We were there most recently in August. Very hot in Rome.. The apartment was very comfortable with 2 units keeping it cool. Location is in Trastevere. Really good nightlife but the street is a quiet one. Easy communication. First, the location of Trastevere Residence was amazing! It is located on the fourth floor of a nice building on a quiet street, with minimal street noise, especially with the windows closed. The unit is in the heart of Trastevere, just a 5-minute walk from the central piazza. There is a great French bakery across the street and a coffee bar (that also serves other food and drinks) 1 minute away by foot. There are TONS of restaurants and several grocery stores located within a 1-to-10-minute walk. Convenient to several public transportation options, with bus and tram stops 5 minutes away by foot, and several taxi stands just a bit farther. If you are willing to walk, you can reach the Pantheon in 20 minutes (with several other attractions, such as Trevi Fountain, just slightly farther) and Vatican City in 30 min. Honestly, I would not want to stay in any other part of Rome. It was so nice to return to the neighborhood feel of Trastevere (which has a nice mix of tourists and locals) after a day of sightseeing in central Rome. Plus, Trastevere has plenty of things to see and do!

The apartment is cozy, clean, modern, and efficiently designed with plenty of storage space for clothes and luggage. Washing machine was conveniently located in the unit. No dryer, but clothes dry on the provided racks within a day. Air conditioning strong throughout unit. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is small, but perfectly functional, and we made and enjoyed several family meals in the unit. Shower is excellent, with a rainfall shower-head with strong water flow. My family and I spent a month in the apartment (2 adults and 2 kids) and found it to be very comfortable and convenient.

The apartment we stayed in (Suite Paolo) is actually one of two apartments in the residence (the other is Suite Francesca, which is slightly larger). Each has a private, locked entrance. We were traveling with another family, who stayed in the other apartment, which was great. Our kids could play together in either apartment and we had several meals together. You can certainly rent just one apartment, but if you are traveling with another party and both apartments are available, you might consider renting both.

Lastly, the host, Francesca, was amazing to work with. We got to know her and her family during our 1-month stay, and they are all lovely. Communication with Francesca via email and WhatsApp was always quick and easy, and she was always available to answer any questions we had. She also gave us lots of great recommendations for things to see and do. She and her family went out of their way to make us feel welcome and be sure our visit was enjoyable. We could not have asked for anything better!

In conclusion, we highly recommend Trastevere Residence (one or both of the apartments)! We would definitely stay there again!

Trastevere Residence was absolutely perfect for our extended stay in Rome. It is very clean, newly remodeled and in a great location. Heating and air conditioning worked perfectly when needed. Above all, Francesca was the very best host. She was very attentive if we needed anything, and she took the time to explain how everything worked in the apartment. I highly recommend this apartment when visiting Rome.

Well appointed apartment in the heart of Trastevere. The location is ideal for long and short stays, with convenient access to Piazza San Cosimato, bakeries, grocery stores, and many cafes, and restaurants. Trastevere is a lovely neighborhood offering very pleasant walks to most attractions in Rome. The apartment hosts are very kind and attentive. I highly recommend a stay at this place.
